does the hole of the centre including the metal come out for the new bush to go in or is it just the rubber? as it doesnt look like the new 1 will fit?
this is the new bush that i have go it fits spot on if the metal around the centre was not there
could some one help me its off a 1.6 sport

I had the same problem with a 99 corsa tiebar- I had a spare so I cut it in half to see how the bush fitted in but couldnt see how the poly bush would ever fit it.
The pre-97 cars have different lower arms, balljoints, tie bars and tie bar brackets so ideally you would need to change to this setup. You can try a pre-97 tiebar bracket on the post-97 tiebar but the threaded section is shorter so the nut doesnt have as many threads to hold it together

seems like a lot of hard work just to change the bushes i think i will try and use the monts of the earlyer car to start with if not ill just leave it me thinks

Theres two different types of polly bushes for the post97 sports i found out so id shop about to see first of all.

that is the right bush for the arm in the pic, you will need a press to get the old one out though
