Anyone done it?

Was thinking about doing it for 9 months - working for 6 and travelling for 3.

Any advice?

I've got a working holiday visa, but plans have changed now (bird got a new job), so it's not going to be used and i've thrown away £180 in applying for it.

Advice: be sure you're definately going before parting with cash for the visa. You can get on-line approval before doing the final legwork and making it official, so check you're eligible, but don't commit until near the time you plan to depart.

Im going in december, doing it with www.ozintro.com.

Heard great storys from people who have done it via them. Makes getting out there a hell of a lot easier and less scary. When are you looking to go mate? I cant wait.

Sydney I think - been looking at flats in the Surry Hills area.

Well ozintro set you up with a working visa, which im in the process of getting now. Theres no way i'll have enough to stay out there without getting a job so Im going to work where I can really and get some travelling done when I can. Later on in the year Im going to look into getting a job in my trade (welding) just incase I fancy moving out there one day.

I'm emigrating to Australia, its a long drawn out process and its costing me quite a lot. Because i'm a sparky I have endless exams to do both before I go to make sure I can actually do what my papers say, then I have to take my licenses when I get there an dgo back to college. Its a safe route but its the amongst the hardest of trades to use to get your visa

I've been to Australia twice now, love it, hence why i'm upping and leaving this place whilst it slowly goes down the drain never to recover.
