My dad got a letter from Virgin bascially in a nut shell saying that if we download something illegally again they will completely cut our internet connection

they gave examples of what music I downloaded in the letter

That's rubbish, they don't know what you are converting and as far as I know it's not illegal to watch stuff on youtube, it's on youtube to take it down if it's copyright.

They don't know you've been converting songs and there's no point in chasing people up for that because the quality is so bad.

Are you sure they've got a list of what you've downloaded, any other people I can see are just getting general letters.

My mate got sued something like £440 by some small time music producer because he downloaded a track from a torrent site.

Torrents are different and that's still more scare tacticts than anything else.

I'd like to see a scan of wills letter tbh.

they have 2 songs listed in the letter

and I downloaded about 50
