What program do you guys use for creating an animated gif?
I'm just looking at puttng together a couple of sequence pictures into a gif so that it's animated, but want a free, easy to use program - any opinions or suggestions?
I have googled for it, but there are so many options I just thought I'd ask for advice before downloading them myself.

If it's something really simple just use gifninja.com, if not then use photoshop.

If you're just putting together some pics then just use something like Foreworks or Photoshop if you've got it.
If you're ripping a vid into a gif then you'll need something else.

I believe he means Fireworks. I would also recommend this.
