Hi guys, just wanted a bit of advice from anyone that's been to Amsterdam before.

I'm going there on Monday next week for 4 days and I just wanted to know some of the best places to visit? I've already been told about certain sex shows and cafes to visit . And of course the brothels too

Any other places that you would recommend?

Any advice appreciated.

Depends what you wanna see.

Anna Frank
Take a boat cruise
Heinekin Museum

Smoking...
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=amsterdam+coffee+shop+map&meta=&aq=1&oq=amsterdam+cof

Keep to the cafes. Bars and Coffee Shops are seperate.

Red Light Bar is good, you can smoke upstairs, and watch the prossies from the window

Follow the main strip down, excellent fuit shop down by the funky looking Cinema.

Best ones are the smaller coffeshops. Don't go into the Grasshopper (where the boats park on Damrak), very expensive and poor green.

Coffeeshop 36 is good near the RLD. There also a really cool american themed one near the station.

Been 7 years in a row, not going this year, know plenty

No stoner shots

Yeah good point... dont bother giving them any grief or abuse. I seen a nasty fight 1st time I went where some cock started mouthing off at one of them & squaring up cos the lucky lucky guy had called him a name after being turned down. The lad's mates got involved and then all hell broke loose and the locals were flocking over to give the 5 lads a pounding... they were coming out of the woodwork I swear... fuck that! its not worth even thinking about

No-where in particular, most places give reasonable meals if you end up having one.

Most coffeeshops you must purchase drinks and such (basically have something on the table) so you end up being quite full a lot of the time.

Re dealers, as said, ignore them. Don't say anything, just leave them to it, they will leave you alone (same goes for sex club crowed pullers).

Don't walk around with your money on show. The dealers will have it off you.

May not happen often but it happened to a guy I used to work with when we had a trip out there!

I won't carry massive amounts of cash about with me anyway.

Another thing I was wanting to ask was about ATM machines over there. I was thinking it would be easier to only take say 200 euro over in cash and then withdraw the money if and when I need it. Is there a charge for using the machines? If so, how much is it? Or would I be best just taking cash?

Well, you'd think wouldn't you!

One of the guys was keeping his money in his shirt pocket and kept checking it. Eventually one of the gorillias made a grab for him!

What a rodney...

1 thing to do in any country, is keep your money in a pocket, thats hard to get into, i.e in a pocket with zelcro, or a zip, just something to stop it being grabbed straight out.

Radi - Yeah theres cash machines out there so you can get money out. Everything you need is on Damrak which is the main street heading from the Central Station down to Dam Square and the palace.

LOTS of shopping, 1 row out from Damrack, it goes for about 3/4 of a mile, jsut one huge long street.....

Follow that all the way away from the tain station, and u'll find the cinema, fruit shop, and a little further on a little park area with Smokee's coffeshop.

Not the best smoke (get from elsewhere) but lots of pool tables.

Theres so many good little coffeeshops, not mainstream, that sell good grean, and prices are low, and a nice happy little place.

Worst part about it is, you'll end up spending so much cash on food, drink, green, women (if single ), and beer, its a VERY expensive few days away.

£600 in 4 days I think last time. Nom nom nom nom nom I think I gained about 1.5 stone during those days too.

Mega ouber cool
