Worst idea ever, filled with empty cans/plastic/paper and with a lid that just sits on, every week there is rubbish blown all over the streets, I've had to go out twice today to pick them up

I have done that now, I would rather not though and i'm sure there must be loads of other containers they could use.

Also, the cans and bottles one is over filled from the weekend, meaning that if I hadn't just stuck everything else in the normal bin the lid wouldn't sit on it at all.

probs this will have been the cheapest option though.

its better than our system though, paper goes in a blue bag not a sack just a plastic bag lol.

glass and tins go in a blue box without a lid, and plastic goes in a large white sac again without a lid lol.

The ones up here are better, have a net over the top as opposed to a lid

The box in that picture has a clip-on lid, where I used to live we had that type and it was OK. Wasn't good when it had been emptied because the lazy badgers didn't put the lid back on properly, the wind gets into it and sweeps them all around the street.

Where I live now, we have blue wheelie bins for recycling, it's ace because you can get shit loads in, but they only collect them every 2 weeks. Except when they didn't collect it last time.

I fucking hate recycling boxes, I have to put it all out every wednesday. 3 boxes and the garden waste bin, pain in my arse!

1 wheelie bin for all recyclable stuff would be easiest.

We used to have a red box for one type of material. A blue box for another. Then a green wheelie bin for garden waste. Then black bags for everything else. Fuck sake.

The lids on ours clip on quite well, don't have a problem with it. Someone over the road sticks a brick on top of theirs, not a big deal.

Bradford must be the only place in the UK not to have these. We just have 1 wheelybin which we lob everything, and anything into.

The lazy bastard bin men up here refuse them if the lid isn't on as well or if the plastic or paper isn't flattened first.

Cunts are at it.

The funny thing is, our recycling guys empty the boxes into wheelie bins that are attached to the lorry, and then tip it up every now and then, but my dad insists on separating paper, plastic and metal When I was doing it it was all mixed together and they still took it

They do that with our wheely bin When they come there aren't any cars on the drive, so they always put the bin right in the middle of the end of it

Liking the random "let's compare bins" conversations going on btw

Four in Little Lever Carl.

Black, Maroon, Cream and Green.

Surprised there's no yellow Sharps bin in that area too.
