also depends on who fitted them - Mine follow convention with cold on the right; hot on the left but at home Dad put all our ones on at home the opposite way round - just because he could.

Where's the option for the mixer taps which are ones with one tap, one outlet?

on my mixer tap....move it to the right for cold and left for hot. Up and down to adjust the flow. So even though its one tap, still follows convention
