A 1.2 corsa without a backbox doesn't sound better, it sounds like a 1.2 corsa without a backbox.

you dont have to have a back box, only if you have the exhaust extended so that the exhaust gasses come out not under the car. thats what im gona try and get a pipe made up so that it has the propper x14xe exhaust tip on so it looks standard but in essance its removed the restricter

Honestly, dont bother, my friend made a makeshift backbox for his 1.2 16v corsa C from a piece of flexi pipe and a halfrauds pipe trim and it sounded gash

My brothers old Corsa didn't have a back box. Just had a centre silencer and still had the CAT. Passed MOT without any problems.

doesn't it also look a bit stupid without a backbox, and yes it is illegal not to have one due to gases not escaping correctly, you'll loose compression too, all it will do is make your car slower
