Sign this petition because the goverment are on about introducing a law which will make it illegal to play music in public without a stupid fcukin licence

If you dont sign it then things could get pretty dull.
Here it is........
We, the undersigned, are concerned that the Licensing Bill proposals to make the performance of live music licensable in pubs and clubs, in places where alcohol is served, in churches, synagogues, mosques and other places of worship, in schools and colleges, in community centres and village and parish halls, and in private homes and gardens where private parties and weddings may be held will have an enormously detrimental effect on musicians and live music performances; fears that the raising of money for charities by musicians will be seriously compromised; consider it will seriously impinge on the folk community including folk music and traditional folk activities such as morris dancing, wassailing, etc; believe that the penalties for breaking the law of a six month jail sentence of a £20,000 fine are far too draconian; consider it grossly unfair and inconsistent that live music will not be licensable in Scotland but will be in England and Wales; regret that the Government has decided to replace the anomalous two in a bar rule with a none in a bar rule which will catch all live music performances; believes that the requirement for the provision of entertainment facilities to become licensable which will ensnare music shops, music and dance studios and teachers, represents a totally unacceptable regulatory intrusion into mainstream activities; and calls on the Government to amend the relevant parts of bill in order to remove the iniquities faced by musicians and the music industry as a whole.

Its not that - im not interested - im only interested in getting the petition signed because in my interest i dont want the law past - i dont car what the opposition say to be honest....

no but your taking your own view without actually understanding what the reason behind it is. I would rather not have anyloud music played in public unless there is a reason behind it. eg concert. that way your life in not intruded by other people.

Theres no mention of "loud" in the letter to the government - have you read it all? I dont like pumping music in public places like you say, unless theres a reason......its the fact that they are taking our right to listen to music in a social environment away from us.

Tiger, would you take offence at hearing my Dance/Hip-Hop/Jungle/Classical (delete as appropriate) music from my personal headphones whilst on a bus or a train?
Don't get me wrong, the sound won't be loud enough for you to hear the tune, but at just the right volume so you can hear the tinny beats outside of my ears.

I wouldnt take offence no because i would expect to witness it in such locations as i myself listen to music for at least 10 hours a day - i enjoy all types of music and would not wish to impose my personal opinion of that persons music so its their right to listen to it as much as it is mine to be on the bus/train.

Not signing it - ever year our next door neighbours have bbq parties in the summer, and when there not having them they play music really loud every summers afternoon so we can't enjoy our own back yard -
First time it was Celine Dion every day all summer,
then S Club 7 the next year,
then Irish folk music last year!
Can't wait for this year! Had they got a licence then fair do's but I doubt they had.
