I have a 1.2 8v, so the slowest of all corsa B's.

If I fill up with 5 litres of petrol (just over a gallon), that will get me around 26-27 miles and if I drive real careful, I can make it to about 30.

That's not right for a 1.2 8v....I bet redtop's get better MPG.

Any help? cheers

25-30 mpg isn't awful, but it's not what I would expect - perhaps just a tired old engine is to blame...

I was hoping somebody would come on here and say "replace your fuel filter", for example and then I'd get a miracle 40-50mpg

Thing is my car has only done 70k miles. It's still a teenager. lol

Also, a gallon is 4.54609188.
and I said I get that from 5 litres

So I'm getting about 24-27 mpg.

even worst.

ive seen u driving about so if your are getting 24-27 your doing quite well lol if ya want slow as and gd fuel get a 12v! rag them n get 45+

motorway i cant count high enough to figure what i get out of mine lol

yes mate i drive a 1.0 12v and its gives me abt 40mpg

and even more when i do motorway driving. when i was looking for a corsa a few mates told me not to get the 8v as they are fuel efficient.
