Recently whenever i go over about 50 mph the engine light comes on, took it to a garage and they said it could have been caused by a fault in another sensor so they changed the temperature sensor i think and the problem is still there.
I did drill the air box a while back and put a k&n filter in, could this have anything to do with the light coming on?

nah that won't cause a problem, you'd know if you had an air problem!
but on the help side of things, no idea what would be causing that, odd symptoms
