He will have the most seat/leg room as nobody will enter the bus and all those on it will dissapear very quickly.

I'm not sure you know, after my last London bus experience there was quite a few characters about. He can sit next to the old dude that has some kind of cardboard guitar with dental floss for strings

Correct, they are run by Tube Lines
My strike action is going pretty good atm, so far I've watched Jurassic Park and eaten a Magnum, very productive

Nope I'm just on maintenance, in fairness my department wouldn't even be missed for 2 nights really, so I'm not exactly doing much by walking out it's just because I'm in the Union

I'm not saying this is right or wrong but some people aren't getting a sniff of a payrise, I know of people offering to take less money to do their jobs so they can at least keep them and tube drivers (who seem to be on a fair amount of money anyway) want more money?
Get back to work IMO

How many people are getting made redundant all over the country and can't find work to save their lives, and these people are complaining that they're not getting paid enough and going on strike?
Is their pay really THAT bad?

people said the same about us getting a pay rise while ford cut their temporary workforce, but at the end of the day, cost of living went up, yet our pay didn't and in the end we got a 5.25% rise

Teachers are gettinga 2.5% rise this year (which is not a lot), both my parents got 0% due to the "current climate" (Deano ).
I'm only getting 50% more becuase I'm moving jobs!

Depends on your level tbh, entry level is about 30k though, so work up from that depending on your level. But bare in mind the working hours, the working conditions, tight time frames every night, it's all accounted for in the job hence the pay.
Train Drivers are around the 40k mark though, and you don't really do much, you are mostly paid for when things go wrong, if everything goes smoothly there is very little work involved.
If I'm honest I'd be happy with any kind of rise no matter how small atm, but then I don't live by myself or anything, I only use my money mostly on what I want, so it makes no odds to me about cost of living. Aslong as I had job security then I'd be happy, but that's anothing thing we're striking for, it's not just about pay as the Media make it out to be.
