I was actually reading about dishwashing electronics the other day and it can fix a lot of problems, it will only have buckled the motherboard a bit in this case though because all it does apart from that is wash it.

PCB's can go in a dishwasher no problem, only time it breaks them is if there is power running through them at the time.
