No EML on.
Stalls in neutral sometimes at traffic lights, junctions etc.
Also sometimes revs to £3k on starting the car.
Corsa 1.6 16v by the way. X16xe.

cold be an air leak, do the revs idle differently all the time or just on startup?
it really could be alot of things, make sue all the plugs and leads are ok, probably worth chaning the plugs for the amont it costs....
what abot a fuel filter also? does the car drive ok once moving?

sounds exactly like when my vacuum network was wrong, check it's all ok, do you know what it should be like?

mine does this but its got the warning light on. took it down the garage and they pluged in and said its the egr valve needs cleaning.

It was an air leak 
I hadn't seen the car when i wrote the post, opened the bonnet and you could actually hear it 
Put a little samco on it and it was fine.

i had the same problem as u mate a few weeks ago and it was the faulty crankshaft sensor.
