my Passport expries in Feb10 can I still go abroad this month? I heard there is a number of months before expiry when you can't go abroad.

it's fucking daft though really. they know how long the duration of your stay is so they should let you go away right up to just before the expiry date.

It's incase you get sick/injured while you are there and get stuck in another country with an expired passport.

Let's continue abusing them though

I don't know why it expires at all, unless there is a major change all they should require is a free picture upgrade every 10 years or so.

They should make the date 6 months before then and say you have 6 months grace on top of it in case you get sick or injured

Think it was just shy of £80 a pop and a fiver for recorded delivery or whatever it is.
