Just come back from a squash match, the lights were flickering the whole game.

When i look at something central now i cant focus on it properly, thers a sort of smudgy grey mark there.

Anything to worry about? Never happened before, it was about an hour ago it started, was just expecting it to last about 5 mins. Even when i squint.

Serious answers please

To explain it properly, it's like i've been looking at the sun for ages and then looked away.

its light desaturation. i know this sounds crazy but basically your eye has a layer of a gel type thing over it, and sometimes (very rare though) heat or intense light can cause this gel to go soft and distort images, or make funny spots appear visible. its not common, and unfortunately it cant be fixed, but because of how clever you are in your brain, your mind will eventually stop you from conciously seeing them.

another reason why people can get spots is if they have tumours etc, but given the fact yours started when you had been outside i would say light desaturation is more than likely the issue.

but, i would definitely go see optician.

I doubt it's a cataract, you do get a lot of protein build up in the eye from time to time also, could be that, or what drunkenfool mentioned.

Maybe a burst blood vessel in back of the eye casting a shadow?

Or AIDS.

I have a problem where i get blured vision for 20 - 30 mins. Tends to happen a few times per month. Have my eyes checked every 6 months and nothing has been found.

I got it happen when i was at work a few months back and had to lay down for an hour in the server room. Had man flu at the time so i'm putting it down to that!

If i get it happening more frequent the i need to be refered to the hospital apparently.

Been told that when it happens not to rub the eyes as you can start to wear away the corn.

It's not my fault you've got eye AIDS.
