So, i went to have a look at her Escort today, been in the garage for 18 years!

What a shame the garage is based on garden, with wooden planks over the top & asbestos sides & wooden roof. wooden floor has rotted, car is slightly sunk into the ground with flat tyres.

Body is in suprising shape, with some surface rust on the wings.

Chassis is another matter, its not great.

So bad i doubt it would go back on the road.

So, i'm after finding out if its worth anything, i guess its parts only, but there is bound to be someone after 2 door mk1 escort parts.

Some pics...

I know alot of people will just see a rusty old escort, but this is my Grandads old car, and my Gran isnt happy about getting rid of it, so it wont be going for free, but we dont know what its worth, obviously sentimental value cannot be changed into money, but we are after an idea of what it might be worth, the garage holding it isnt in the best of condition, and really, if its coming out, it will have to be soon, else it will be left there to sink into the ground.

Thanks for looking.

Surely it would be nothing more than luck if you managed to get rid of that without paying a scrappy to take it away.

People who say scrap obv have no clue as to the Ford following, i'm sure its worth something, but dont know what.

Posted this on passion ford & they removed it as it was a for sale advert? mincers.

Manual choke, automatic(large tunnel), no sunroof, two door, body in half decent nick considering its from 1972.

Just after a general idea of what its worth and then can start sorting a proper advert with decent pics out.

Can't just "pull it out" once it comes out of the garage, it wont go back in as will have to be towed out, tyres are perished.

lower spec minted mk1 escorts aren't worth much anyway, its only the twin cams, mexicos, RS's that fetch a lot of money.
