c20let engine, Has either a burnt out valve or a piston ring gone in cylinder 2. Has a sach racing clutch, ARP head bolt & stud kit, ARP conrod bolts. The bottom end was rebuilt ( no proof, was bought from ebay ) & has covered 3000 miles. I bought all new gaskets through out, all GM ones! It had brand new water pump, cam belt kit & oil pump fitted aswell ( reciepts to prove ). The head was skimmed & had a brand new headgasket put on. I have bought king main & big end bearings to rebuild it back up,was bought from wallace performance. It's got new genuine bosch dizzy cap & rotor arm, magnecor kv85 ingntion leads . Also has powder coated ( arden blue ) inlet, dip stick tube & throttle cable bracket. Anthracite rocker & belt covers, metal spark plug cover & also anodized rocker bolts.

ok then.
couple of questions:
1. how many miles on the motor?
2. has the head been off and checked?
3. any history with the motor?
just if its rings gone that id say worth only about £600 or so(depending on the milage on the block as to sort it right you would need an overbore, new pistons/rings, and ann new gaskets again.

I bought the motor off ebay, the guy had it in a calibra & re-built it. He said it had done 1000 miles, i've done about 2000 miles in it. The only proof i have was his words, the block looked super clean, IMO i did look like it had been re-built, the arp conrod bolts have been counter sunk propperly. He showed me all the pics when it was put together, sump off ect. I have reciepts for everything i've bought for it aswell.
I havn't had the head off yet. To be honest i've lost interest with it now. I wasn't expecting anything more than £600, because like i said earlier, i know what it's worth.

It's just the engine chris but I have the afm, turbo ( turbo active ), phase2 ecu & loom all in working order. Would sell as a hole if the offer is right.

Yes it is, from what I have heard and a few people agree with me that it needs the piston rings changing. He is also suppling new bearings for when the bottom end comes apart. Not to fucking mention the clutch that cost him a lot, ARP bolts etc. Go post your lies somewhere else.
