no it catches on the belt cover but i can trim it. A z16 one fits but its sits further in or out i cant remember and it puts the belt out of line. Its going to be a bitch i can tell

What kind of sensor does the Gotech require HALL or VR?

Does the VXR use a trigger wheel in the block or is it on the pulley?
It should be a VR sensor.. Pins should be +V -V and signal.. Going by vauxhall logic +V will be red or black, -V will be brown and signal will be green..

Yeah that will be VR with a trigger wheel on the crank.. Chop the plug off the loom (not the sensor) and post up the colours

why are you using the vxr loom? does the standalone not come with a diy engine loom. surely you have some info on the ecu as to what colour from the ecu loom needs to be conected to the crank sensor if that makes sence?

surely with the gotech you can just throw the vxr loom away?
shouldnt the gotech come with a wiring diagram? for instance pin 4 earth, pin 5 crank sensor signal, pin 6 earth pin 7 coolant signal.. and so on? so then like you said you will need a wiring diagram to find out what pin/wire on the sensor conecter is signal/ earth and so on?
