i want to paint my centre console gloss black, to make it look a bit newer like the corsa vxr centre console.
just a couple of questions about how i go about doing it. what colour black would i use, and about preping it and theings then, also how do you get the twisty nobs out with out braking them?

ive resprayed mine about 5 times mate lol

Steps:

1. Sand it down real well until its realy smooth.

2. get some filler primer, so it fills in any left over bobbles in the plastic texture.

3. flatten the primer to get rid of any random bumps and lumps.

4. another layer of primer

5. flaten it down again.

6. if there are no lumps or flakes, then begin paint. make sure you leave it to try hours before each coat or the paint will be very weak.

7. im not sure what black to use tbh, u get get a colour match maybe if u get the code for VXL.

8. then after about 2-3 coats of paint, get some clear coat laquer and do as many coats as you like, watch out for drips tho lol

Plastic Primer before filler primer or else.....

I've spent hours attempting it. I managed to get teh fans to work now though but it stays constantly hot

like faz said its easy

ive removed the whole thing several times and its really easy on mine all the cables are colour coded ect iirc so ya cant go wrong
