I think its quite cool as a news service, when something big happens I always check Twitter as its free speech and you can get a real account of whats going on sometimes like the G20 protests in London a few months back. Wouldnt say its a copy of facebook's status system, theres been status systems before facebook anyway

I can understand people wanting to follow celebs, simply because people do and are sad like that, but to follow some Joe Nobody? Don't get it.

Lad at work has his own blog and reports on EVERYTHING he does, his Facebook status constantly has links to his blog asking people to check out the updates.

Hes now on Twitter too

Some people spend that much time telling everyone what they are doing via blogs or facebook etc. that they cant have any time to actually do what they say they are doing
