I know its not a corsa but could some-one tell me where to find the paint code on a 1998 ford escort?

Halfords are able to do it by some sort of paintcraft wizardary as per the Halfords adverts in between the breaks when Top Gear's on.

its the third one up on the left side of the chassis plate, will be a number or letter or both as ford like using the same code for a million different colours so you will also need to know the colour name.
best thing is to ring any ford parts department and ask for it from the reg or chassis
heres a ford number to ring
01753 574266 ask for the parts department

I love to hate them though

I'd say at least once every couple of weeks I come across half hour snippets of 5th gear episodes I've not seen, so it's totally worth it tbh.
