my girlfriend is looking for a new camera

i sugested the d90. 700 pounds and a good alround camera

anyone sugest me any otheres and give me a couple of prices too

shes looking to spend about 700 max realy

Will she use all the functions of a d90 though?

Quite a serious camera to just have for the odd snapshot.

shes going onto a photography course in college at the end of this year and wants a good camera
she also has quite a good knowlage of things like aperatures shutter speed and iso's

tbh this thread isnt needed if she atall knows anything about photography and cameras as she will be able to decided herself if she could put the d90 to use with its full potential, if not get a 400d or 60

if she's doing a course then i reckon the best bet would be to get a d60 and spend the rest on a good tripod, spare batteries, filters, mem cards, bag etc.
if she has 700 quid then she'll get a great setup if she does what i suggested, instead of blowing it all on a d90.

or maybe even get a macro lens with the left over money. the course my mate is doing seems to revolve heavily around macro shots so that could be a way to go.

Yea id recomend a d60 all day long and get things mentions like good tripod ect

is the d60 a good camera though?
ive got a d50 myself and i think its absolutley awsome
but ive never read any reviews on the d60 or anything
so is it a good allround camera?
