The idea is that this Sunday your street has a big street lunch party type thing where you all get to know each other. http://www.thebiglunch.com/

There's nothing at all in my village, and one person in the neighbouring village has registered interest A hive of activity then

Tbf I don't really care about my neighbours that much at all They'll probably just want to go on about my car, knowing what the people round here are like.

I've never heard about it before

Checked the site though, 2,500 people in our town and not one person interested

Surprisingly there are going to be lunches in two of the villages near us though

Nobody around here, which I don't mind, had a nice row about me working on cars with my neighbours yesterday so it wouldn't go down too well

Something similar happens every year here, people have 'open' parties on new year where you can just go where ever you want, walk in people houses and join in the partys with them, it's ace
