really thinking about a 2tr conversion as i miss my old sri and always wanted a 2ltr might have the opportunity for a cheap 1ltr with a good body but knackered engine and thinking 2LTR XE but was just wondering on the wiring from a 1ltr to 2tr is it alot more difficult than a 4 cylinder,
lets me know what your thoughts and advise if you've done this conversion.
P.S hi all not been around for a while.

read FAQs before asking a frequently asked question
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

If its a 1.0 12v, you can do as john said and change the Entire dash loom for one from a 1.4 or 1.6 16v Model, and then buy an adapter to plug the XE loom straight into it, Voila plug and play...
Otherwise, you can chop and change the original 1.0 Loom - Its a big job swapping dash looms so might be better.
I've just chopped and changed my 1.2 16v which has the same loom as yours - It was a lot of work, but people on here have helped endlessly - I can soon write up what wires i've connected or not once my dizzy is replaced next week and i check that she runs...

tbh, it doesn't tell you how to wire up from a 1.0 to a 2.0..
it's slightly more complicated that the usual 1.2/1.4 8v or 1.4/1.6 16v engines
