Well, a certain corsa has failed MOT for emissions.
Its had new...lambda sensor, CAT, sparkplugs, airfilter isn't dirty, had some de-coke stuff (a tablet that drops into the fuel tank, that makes lots of smoke come out the exhaust).
WTF else could make high emissions?

how long ago did it have a new CAT? i got told when the CAT's are new they give high emissions
i had a simlar problem when i had to mot my old 1.6sport that had a new CAT a few months before. I got told to take it for a good blast before taking it for the mot try ad get the CAT as hot as you can
does it have standard backbox?

Yer what jake said although mine was high as it burnt oil 
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

yeah the CAT is 5-6months I think.
It has a powertec metal filter, took the filter off and emissions went down a bit but not enough.
emissions were 0.6 supposed to be 0.2 or 0.3 I think.

CTS mmm prob is that then, feeding the engine more fuel, it smells of fuel a bit too.
