well ive done many 1/4 miles in my car. its not the fastest, but its good enough for me. id be interested in trying it around some tracks etc.

could someone with a track orientated corsa give me a list of their suspension etc set ups just to see if i need to change much. thanks.

i realise i will need to put the screamer back into the down pipe to stay within noise regs and maybe add a centre box also.

thanks.

oh to add, i have a map switch for the ecu so i can switch it to run a 0.6 bar map which would make it perhaps more track friendly? or can spend some time and map boost vs tps aswell really. it does have limited boost in gears set up currently.

contrary to popular belief it does handle alright considering this added weight people chirp on about. i guess i know some of its limits as it is really. although these are roads i know.

my next purchase will be a cage for definite. then maybe over winter try and change some stuff on it for next year and see about track days.

Mycar is primararly used on track and i dont have trick suspension.
Infact it has been done on a very tight budget, doing things as a progression, seeing how its working then changing/adding etc as I go.

Mines lowered at the front 40mm, rear 92.78mm. ( Which makes it soft on the front/hard on he rear which is(so I believe) I good way of setting it up.)
Apex shocks front and rear.
Completely polybushed
Whitelne rear arb.
And some neg camber on the front just to aid turn in/corner grip.

With only this done, imo it handles very well. Ask JR, hes been in mine.

You could spend thousands on coilies etc, if you wanted too but you can get a very good handling car with just some simple changes.

At least you have a diff, which is what i badly need.

yeah it has adjustable top mounts forgot about them actually. set with a tocuh of neg camber. done by eye though, and same with tracking. seems to wear alright.

i guess apart from perhaps ride hieght, there isnt a great deal more i can change or would need to?

Couldn't agree more, I was so surprised at how much of an improvement it made.

wire a switch up into your dash for your rad fan if you dont have one, .. other than that book a track day and give it hell .. one thing i broke on mine was a hub. was fine for 3 years on the road, as soon as it went on track it broke. ive heard a few ppl say they break them but i have allso heard of people not breaking them. adamb would be good to ask too as hes done a few trackdays in his corsa.

Shit, shouldn't have said that....

But yeah just book one up, have some fun and enjoy yourself, have ago and see what needs adjusting/changing on the car from there.

ive snapped a shaft on the 1/4 mile, snapped a clutch plate on the 1/4 mile, snapped a metal enginwe mount on the 1/4 mile. its used to abuse going forwards, ive never had bothers on the roads round here on corners, but i guess its not total balls out like a track day perhaps?

id be doing it for fun more than anything. id need a quiet day aswell to learn the track and what have you which probably will never happen.

i have mates who do croft and oulten park quite a bit you see and they always saying i should go along. its made me want to. im going to go watch one of their track days next month then give it some though and plan what to do about the noise of my car etc.

Doing it for fun is the whole point. I've said it before and its totaly true; so long as you and your car come home in one piece you've had a good day.

And you dont need a quite day to learn the track.

On a full day open pit, at a new track, i spend till lunch learning the track and lines etc(not poodling round but at a good pace). Then in the afternoon i start really trying and pushing further on. Yes I start making mistakes; out braking myself, wrong lines even going off sometimes, but the way i see it is, i start learnin from this and he next time I go back to that track there is no learning procedure and your generally going hell for leather from the start.

You should be perfectly fine in your car, I dont know what your worrying about.

But sort out your noise issue, otherwise your going nowhere.
