whats the law on seatbelts, i mean who responsibility is it to make sure that passengers wear them?

if the passenger is over 15 then its there own responsibilty

I say its the drivers responsibility. I make sure people wear them in my car.

yeh i always make ppl wear them in my car aswell, but as drew said i just wanted to know what the law said about it. if u dont have one on as a driver waht penalty do u face, oh and i always wear mine - its stupid not to.

used to be £20 think it is £30 now also if an under 14 (15 maybe?) isnt wearing one then its the driver who will be fined not the parent.

i never wear seatbelts and will happily pay the fine each time i know that sounds stupid but the reason im still alive is because i want wearing a seatbelt

6 times drew and i was thrown from the car the car impaled itself on a post straight through the drivers seat but a similar thing happened to a mate of mine the other day he didnt have his seatbelt on and he lost it on a corner and flipped off a kerb went througha tree and a house he was pronounced dead on arrival R.I.P

I got 6 pins holding my rib cage together as I had major open heart surgery a couple of times so got a note form the doctor saying I don't need one
