can anyone tell me if theres any other way to get a passport sooner than the normal six week waiting? is it true that if you go to one of the passport offices, they will give you a passport on that day? cheers

yep you can go to one of the main offices, but you will pay extra and wait for hours

cheers for that. i dont really mind waiting for hours, as long as i get it in that day lol. will i stil have an interview? how much extra will i be paying as the cost has gone up to £77. cheers

think mine took about 3 weeks, it says it can be upto 6 weeks.

No for your first adult passport there is no way to get it any faster, it has to come by post. You can only go to the main office for a same day passport if its a renewal.

They say give up to 6 weeks incase you have to go for an interview but if not they usually take 3 weeks to come through.

I have to go for an interview, tomorrow, and the wife on the phone says my passport will be here a week after the interview, total time from posting = 4 weeks.

Oh, and you cant get it any faster as they need to do all the security checks.
