Anyone been?
Going to stay in an apartment at the end of August with the missus for two weeks, its my Aunt's place, but she just goes to chill out, i'm after stuff to do?
Heard about turtle beach, and some mud baths, but thats about it, i need stuff to do for 2 weeks lol.
i hear bad things about the water / waste drainage / some foods, but from what i can see the appartment is fairly new, and the town is sort of touristy, so im hoping its not too bad.
Anything to look out for, or must see?
Thanks.

still, the apartment is air con'd and the pool is shaded, so should be ok there, and close to the sea.

It's around the beginning of August that's the hottest time of the year.
By the end of August it should have cooled down a little bit, but yeah, will still be pretty warm.
If your on the coast, you'll have the coastal breeze, so it won't feel as hot.

Esphesus
Pammukkale
Turkish Bath
Loads of waterparks
Most importantly drink lots of Efes. The food is amazing out there.
To reiterate - it gets very very hot. I was there in June and it was 33 degrees one day so August will be hotter. I don't mind the heat though.

Yes but the options are limited if you're after cheap drinks. It's either that or Tuborg.
Actually they do an Efes Dark which is very nice.

You never see the dark variety on sale anywhere..you have to ask for it. Also I only ever had it in bottles so don't know whether they do it in draught. It's basically just a stronger lager...

Ah right, tht explains it.
1 thing i did notice though, the bottles of 'normal' lagers i.e. fosters, carlsberg etc were always tiny and double the price of a huge glass of efes!
