Are there any specific signals bikers have to communicate things?
A few bikes have went past me (while im in my car) and nodded etc

Don't think so, bikers usually give the nod if/when you move over to let them past

Bikers usually nod when they pass one another. There's probably been another biker behind you and you just thought they were nodding at you.
Other than that I don't know why they'd be nodding.

i had one weavng in and out behind me before, then overtook me, then waved me past as he wanted to race.
stopped at a set of traffic lights and turns out he was enjoying the first bit of good weather this year and wanted to know if there were any decent roads without speed cameras
asked me if i would race his bike but i declined. was a suzuki gsxr 750 or something? and i had hardly any petrol.

Yeah, I stick my leg out if a car moves over for me.

Very quick bikes but he sounds like a bit of a tard for just asking a randomer for a race like that.

I nod at other bikers, can be annoying at weekends and I get fedup sometimes.
If theres old bill, i pat my hand towards the ground, then spin my hand in the air like a police light flashing
Leg out is the preffered "thankyou" in france, mostly when passing other cars. I usually put my hand out though. I think its important for bikers to say thankyou to other drivers if they make an effort to move over (even if most of the time its not needed, its more a "thanks for seeing me and paying attention" )
Its a thing. Own a proper Mini, or a VW Beetle, and u'll understand

I've noticed bikers nod at other bikes a lot.
Seen the old bill one before, I was like "WTF is that guy doing waving his finger in the air" then got round the corner
Always get a foot or a hand off most bikers when i move over - and I always do!

Nearly all bikers nod to each other, I do anyway. First time i went out on my bike, i was thinking WTF are they doing then realised!
I usually lifted my hand up as a thank you gesture to a car once i went past, but as other pointed out I've had some put their leg out as a thank you. Don't teach you this stuff when you're training!

So first you have to dress up like a power ranger then you have to learn to disco dance

Damn right.
As power rangers, we can also make stupid rich wippets in sports cars who think they are ouber cool by racing a bike. until they loose, but some considerable margin. Punk tried it on in an RS4 the other day Fail.........
Plus women love Power Rangers, fact It makes them go all shy and giggly at traffic lights. A "dude" in a car, music playing, will just get laughed at.
But yeah, MIGHT MORPHIN BIKER RANGERS< HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I might start the foot thing, I like to say thanks but taking a hand off the handle bar (even the clutch side, left) is too dangerous at any speed.
I do the nodding at other bikers things, but also at cars coming in the other direction if they move over to let me filter etc I dont do the police thing I must admit, but then ive never been on my bike and had one at the side of the road....

when i was 16 got mo-ped and bikers were nodding, i kept wondering why, some would ignore me though, when i got my 125, all of them would nod etc.
On scoobynet, they talk about when they see other scooby owners they nod, seems pathetic that.

Police just push to the floor as in slow down.
The nod thing gets bit teadious around here. MFN have a massive bike meet everywkere which is only 5 mins from my house, and i dont live far from the heart of derbyshire/matlock where all you see is bikes.
I did find it strange though first time when people were nodding.
Ive perfect my nodding aswell. Its not just a straight nod forward, you have to like put a twist on it aswell. So you move from the side forwards

focusstoc people flash their lights at other focus st's. you'd never catch me doing that
it's not like it's a rare car or anything, so most of the people driving them wouldn't have a clue there was even an owners club for the car.

I dont nod at peds come to think of it, I dont like to encourage these people to carry on riding round in shorts, t shirts and sandals. Saw a guy in the rain like it the other day, leaning like anything into the corners, he deserved to fall off and take his skin with him tbh for riding like a dick

I always used to nod at people coming the other way, unless I didn't notice them Kept forgetting I was in a car when I started driving so still did it for a bit
All about putting some twist on it, I go to the left

Annoying thing about bikes sometimes is they overtake you in traffic or small towns on b roads and then go feckin slow as
I always feel like a tit when i overtake a bike as i know they could easily not let me past
