whats the pro's/con's of them
peoples experiance
worth going for rear coilovers or normal set up?
any clearance issues with wheels on the struts? like my spax, have to run hardley any camber to clear the spring, and dont want to fit spacers
what are they like to live with on the road?

Personally mate we wouldnt entertain them, heard too many bad things about them.
One of the performance car mags done a long term test on them and hated them.

well on mine i got 325lb fr and 375lb bk and the ride was ok, I've recently got 400lb fr and 475lb bk, but there wasn't enough of a difference and the car understeers a bit, so I've ordered 500lb bk springs to make the rear slightly stiffer.
ride should be a bit better but i cant report that until i fit them monday

I got Gaz with the rear coilovers, needs some strengthening which we're in the middle of doing and they do rub the inner rear quarter, on my last Corsa i just beat it away with a hammer, simples. They are something like 42way damping adjustable and do get very hard, I tried it as stiff as they go and when you stood and bounced on the sills it was only the tyres flexing.
I love them personally but then again it's not my Daily ride so luxuries aren't an issue.

GAZ quality is next to none for the price. And its strange how the people that have bad comments on them are usually the people that havnt tried them. But then The Toyo Race series use them on every car involved and Top Gear chose GAZ for they're 24hr E46 BMW Diesel.

all interesting
problem is, i dont think there been enough people out there that realy test them
benkid - what did you think of the rear coilovers compaired to normal set up
and what about wheel clearance?

Rears were never a problem with mine . I had to run 5mm spacers on the fronts due to the Wilwoods.

I never got round to driving with the rears on because i bought another corsa and didn't get round to strenghtening it. But in terms of wheel clearance it was fine (6.5x 16" Compomotive)
I'd recomend them though, great value for money i'd say. The guy i bought my LET off who i speak to quite regularly knows a guy that works for them and said that they're another companies components that have been renamed??? PICK4D can problem shed more light on this?

Not as far as im aware, and concidering ive walked around the entire workshop of them getting assembled I highly doubt it. Although, I wont rule it out as nothing in this day and age is self independant. They may use some "components" from other companies, but they're definatly not just another companies product re-branded. Thinking back, one of my friend had the 1st set of GAZ coilovers made for his Fiesta ST when they 1st came out and they designed and built them at their workshop.

I think its mainly those spax ones that have that problem thats why I went back to fixed shocks and springs as I couldnt be arsed with spacing the wheels to avoid the rubbing

i love mine and they get a fair bit of shit,
i had too use 5mm spacers up front, rear's fitted fine,
best way to set the fronts are adjustable top mounts as the gaz'z don't have slots.

not a massive fan of them to be honest. a decent b12 bilstein kit will out perform them.
if you WANT coilovers you could do worse, but there are better ones out there.

From what I've seen Koni and Bilstein are the best of the lower end of the market.
