has any1 every fitted or had fitted a sportex manifold on a 1.6 or 1.4 corsa sport. having problems havin it fit!!

took it to tyre spot said they would fit it got a phone call 5 minutes later cannit fit it come down and we will explain so went down and they said its because of the egr valve the new manifold hasnt got the hole for it or summit andhe said if he disconneted the egr valve the car wud run like a bag of shit but i dont understand if there is ment to be a hole for the egr valve or wat cause the manifold is for my type and year of the car

just blank the egr valve off, the manifolds usually do i belive, it will bring engine light on but wouldnt worry about it, fit it and try.....

Its not and egr valve.

What the half whits are refereing to is the secondary air pump, you will need to blank it off with something though.

yeh thatts probibally what there on about on the 1.8 you blank egr off, just fit it haha

Its not the egr valve, egr valve is on the back of the engine not the front.

it is the secondary air injection,
it is there to lower emissions a little and preheat the cat by means of making the lambda read o2 in the system and richening the fueling

you can dicconect the pump and pipework, and blank of the one left small pipe on the turret.
