Why would you weld it up ? Its there to give camber adjustment

Maybe welding them up stops them from falling apart

hah yeah, perhaps its my driving style or perhaps theyre crap, but whenever i hit a bump the alignment is altered and then i go back for laser alignment and it costs £65 a pop which is fine once or twice but every 3 months is getting annoying,

Get some brand new bolts and do it up reet tight and see if that helps. If not/if you've already done that then may as well get them welded Can't think of anything else.

Bingo, or I was thinking a nylock nut or something similair.
But Dan, am I right in thinking if you don't do something like that you're going to weld your hub assembly to the front strut?

thread lock and new bolts have been done, they have been tightened up with an air gun but as theres nothing to grip to they slip, Nah weld a plate in to make the elongated bit smaller so its normal bolt size just looking to see whos done it before an where they welded etc

And use a proper wrench, air gun may not be tight enough.

only problem you will have with welding them is you need th in exactly the right position before you weld the washer on or your fecked. could get them set up again leave the bottom bolt tight so they stay then put washers under the top bolt and then weld them on. should do the job ok

im presuming youve seen them then? thats impressive, no its not we welded big washers onto the elongated hole to hold the bolt in place with 0.5 degrees camber, its now like a normal standard damper, oh that is bodge
