Havent had a look at my car yet, but i pulled out of a junction, heard a bang. When im in neutral, theres a knocking noise, when i put it into gear, the knocking noise goes away. Car wont move at all, stays in the one spot, there was gearbox oil everywhere. Think its just popped a driveshaft? or think it could be worse and be the gearbox fucked?
EDIT: It will go through all the gears without any problems, no grinding when going into gears etc. and clutch is working fine as its still going into gear, and it doesnt feel tight or loose.

I think so, not entirely sure though. From what you said this sounds like the most likely thing anyway.

Depends how it fails. If it seizes the failed side then you can still drive the car one wheel drive. If it spins freely then you won't have drive because the diff will turn the side of least resistance, ie. fresh air where the shaft used to be.
