I use a laptop for downloads because its quieter. I have the completed folder of uTorrent shared.

Sometimes when I try and open the share from other computers it shows the contents but then gives permission errors on the files. It can be fixed by going to the laptop and unsharing, then sharing the folder.

It will then read fine from the other computers until next time I try and I'll need to refresh the share again.

Any ideas.

I'm guessing those files aren't still being seeded?

Not always, no. And after the share is refreshed it can be read even if its being seeded.

I'll deactivate seeding after they are complete, see if that changes anything.

Have you tried turning off simple file sharing and just setting the permissions manually?

Is the completed folder a different folder to the uncompleted folder? If it isn't, try moving it, that way you'll know it's 100% completed and there isn't still a bit being used.

EDIT: Also what are you trying to pull the shares from? Computer/console?

Yeah its two folders, it worked fine when the incomplete and complete were in the same place.
