Never done the whole "local" thing. I think I’ve seen far too many TV programmes where people live a sad existence of a life and are always in their local...and it put me off.

Not really a local, but the place I used to work, is unfortunately the best place in town to go to, so we're in there 2 or 3 times a week, if I go out, that's where I go.
I know most of the new staff even though I left a couple of years ago, so always get served well
If it's a proper proper night out we'll start there, go round town and generally end up there, it's got a club as well.

Dont go, involves a drive or a walk up a very steep hill which is only fun when you're drunk and walking down it.
Its full of pikies and people from the village
Its full of crap larger and bitter, get funny looks if you order anything else
Expensive habit, rather go see some mates or do something cheaper
Full of cunts
I have a job.

Very rarely (as in a couple times a YEAR!), I prefer to just have a beer or three in the house if I get the urge.
If im wanting to drink to get drunk i'll go somewhere decent.

I will always consider one pub that is now 6/7 miles away from where I live to be my 'local' as in I know everyone, used to be in there 4 times a week for about 3 or 4 years. I only really go the pub before going out on saturday now, or less regularly to watch the football. The pubs close to where I live now are 'ok' but a bit dull!

Yep, it's a dive. Same as any other pub in a mining village

yes and now I work in there on a Saturday night for a bit of extra beer money
I live in a smallish village and we have 5/6 pubs in walking distance so vary some of them, some are useless, some have knobhead landlords but 2/3 are alright

Between 3 and 5 times a week I would say, particularly now as the football season is back

I got to my local quite a lot, but the pub i'm in mainly is the one furthest away from my house.
Its situated right on the Harbour and has been voted one of the best pubs in Britain. On a nice summers night like this its awesome to sit out in the sun and look at the nice cars and bikes that normally come out with the weather.

Our local just shut down, the next local is wank. Have to go 15 mins either way for a decent pub, so they are my locals really.
