Has anyone managed to change their speed dials on htere Corsa Sport. I would like to put white ones in but have no idea how I could do this.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Most kits just slide under the needles, the kits will have instructions.

Thanks Gareth.
I think I need to know how to remove the plastic bit though so I can get to the needles. How the hell does that come off???

The surround on the steering wheel needs to come off, two screws at the front (may need to turn the wheel to see them and will have plastic covers) and i think three screws underneath. Should come apart then. The front surround of the speedo pod will need to come off (one screw in the middle under the lip and two either side underneath) Now the hard bit, if its electrical speedo the clip at the top of the speedo will release the unit to slide out but if its cable its a pain in the arse as you need to put your hand behind the speedo (nearly impossible if you have big hands like me) On the electric one when the dials come out there four plastic clips which hold the face on. undo those and there you go. I dont want to go into detail on how to do the cable ones as they are a pain. Old corsas have cables and new ones dont, think they changed at about 97 plate.

Sounds complicated, I may have to take it to a garage so they can do it for me. It will probaly cost me and arm and a leg though.

I new it wasn't going to be an easy job.
Thanks for your help Gareth

what reg is your corsa? basically youre taking out screws around the steering wheel region and one that is located above the speedo. you cant go wrong, and the speedo itself just pulls out, unless its an older style corsa b. definetely not worth sending to a garage.

Ebay - make sure you get the correct ones, look for start of speedo either 0 or 10 mph and top end aswell.

Its an easy job to do david, just sounds complicated when trying to explain it...you could have it done in about 30 minutes depending how much knowledge you have on a corsa dash....if you lived closer i would have done it for you

as people have said...check out the ones on ebay as there are plenty of fakes on there made from just glossy card.

also, check the rev counter if you have them on your clocks....hence some sets rev to 7k and some sets rev to 6k

theres these differences

0-130 6k rev range
0-140 7k rev range
10-130 6k rev range
10-140 7k rev range

try this website if you fancy some really cool ones
