Which one would you choose for an XE Corsa? Standard or 2l conversion?
Also they hard to fit?

when you mount the engine, to make it sit square in the bay your supposed to fit a 10mil spacer between the rear gearbox mount and the gearbox. this then means that the std "s" shaped part of linkage needs lengthened to the same amount as the spacer is.
the conversion short shift is ready to fit for a car with the spacer fitted. as some people dont fit that spacer, i havent but really should, you use the std "s" shaped part for the linkage, so the std short shift is the one to get in that case.

id also like to mention a recommendation for the nylon linkage bushes lmf sell. they fit in the centre of the linkage, where the pin goes through the mount and linkage holding it in place. the nylon bushes are about £10 and really do eliminate a lot of movement and sloppy feel from gear changes.

yea, i've got one of these. got the whole lot from LMF. 2.0 conversion one with nylon bushes...and the positivity from the shifts is unbelievable. takes a bit of time to get used to, but defo worth it! saves wit all the bodging of standard ones and works a dream!

I've got one on my Mondeo, it took a bit of getting used to, the changes are so much shorter.
Drove my GF's Corsa the other day and it really did feel like the gearbox was made of cheese.

Alright nic.. I just modded a std one buddy. put abit of lengthin one bit (15mm) and took some length out of the knuckle were it goes to the box. Ill email you some pic's nic when I get the engine out.
I just like to know the old girl is in gear before I let the clutch out and I just didn't get that with a short shift. And I can shift it just as fast.
I've still got your email mate from you sending me the AVCR wiring so I owe you one kid
