There was a Jonathan Creek episode where a lad predicted the lottery numbers because there was a delay between the 'live' lottery and him predicting the numbers.
Sure it will all be an illusion, or a fix like his horse racing

i want him to tell me what his predictions are on a show before the lottery, i dont want him wacking them in an envelope to open afterwards or anything. i want to know what his predictions are beforehand.

hmm, Fake... russian roulette with a gun, where the bullets were blank and the shooter was an actor... RIGGED.
It'll be a live broadcast that's slightly delayed... (they probably usually delay it slightly incase of incident) ... It wouldn't matter either way normally as people can't buy a lottery ticket anywhere near the time of the draw. Even more likely if euromillions draw (friday) as that prob requires a delay to sync broadcast across all nations.
So let me guess, Derren will magically appear on stage with a envelope (that he'll have 'written in at the start of the show and held on to') ... then just before the draw he'll swap the envelope with one that has the real numbers written in (as that'll now be known thanks to delayed tv) - then open the envelope and go 'Look at this!' - at which point ... the numbers will start getting drawn (either replayed or re-enacted) - and ta da, he predicted the lotto numbers...
Either that or really lame like having the envelope he wrote in earlier on, then 'AFTER' the draw opening the envelope and revealing the numbers he had predicted (which would obv be known now).

No offence, but if it was that simple then a. he wouldnt be on the TV, and b. you'd be out there earning millions like he is.

He started this idea when the national lottery began and has since made 13,983,815 million recordings of his predictions. He has just finished and someone will sift the results from the recordings, started on VHS and will play at the right time just after the draw.

He has said he'll explain how he did each one, so I highly doubt he has some way of predicting the lottery that we all need to learn. It'll be like the horse racing thing.
