Had a bit of an accident tonight for the first time ... locked up on this corner and went straight into the kerb doing a good 40-60. Managed to drive home but my front drivers side wheel has moved backwards a good 3 inch. and when im driving, the car is pulling severely to the right.
Im stripping it down tomorow to look at the damage but i was just wondering what everyone thinks ill be looking at. Im an amateur when it comes to mechanics so any help is appreciated. Wishbone, shockers, driveshaft?

Did the same thing in the winter only to the passenger side, knock the wheel back a 1". Turn out to be a bent front cross member. If your really lucky it could be just the bottom arm or ball joint about £30 & fairly easy to replace. But with your wheel moved that ammount i would say its bent the cross member/chassis. I Replaced most of the front suspension on mine but was still not right, took the front bumper off & found a crease in the inner wing got a local accident repairer to pull it out for £150. If your up tp it i'd take the front bumper off & check everywhere for creases or split paint or get it to a accident repairers for them to check over.
Good luck.

1. bottom wish bone will most defo be bent - like said above ^^
2. tracking will be miles out you will need that done + x2 track rod ends?? + alignment
3. wheel might be bent/buckled? and need balancing? (might)
but...worst case... bent car all together?

i went up a kurb in my old focus straight on and it done the same, so id say
wish bone is more than likely fucked,
bent steering rack is probably fucked
wheels probably bent
trackrods fucked
well this is what went on my focus wen i crashed that in more or less the same situatioin
also try poping the bonnet and look if the top of the suspension has split the metal and peeled it back
