free flow cat back exhaust system, induction kit, chip, inlet manifold (Velos/Mantelz)...should be about the same i think...
thats wat i av, well and a magnex de cat pipe... and it makes a good improvement to the 1.4 16v...about the same if not slightly more bhp than the stock GSi, not sure about torque though...my car is too low to fit on the rollers at Rally Tec, hence y im not sure lol.

Thanks essexracer.
I pick up my 1.4 16v on Saturday so buying a 1.6 isnt really an option lol.
Nitrous..deffinatly on the list..want to get the engine pretty solid before I throw that at it though!

go faster stripes are only good for about +10bhp, what u really need is a max power sticker!

what u really need is throttle bodies, kent cams, uprated head n full exhaust system with a viper induction kit. only downside is ull be fcuk'd up the arse by the insurance company.

Listen to Kindness. He knows what he's on about.
To get it to 1.6 standard, i'd go with the above mods. Or
Free Flowing INlett manifold (Mantzel/Velos)
4-2-1 manifold
CAT back system,
Original air box, drilled, witha panel filter.
Chipped to map mods n raise rev limit.
This should see around 120bhp odd, with still room for improvment. U won't have that much torque (more than a standard 1.6), but it will respond much better!

So you had 25bhp gain from Piper 264deg cams, GpA exhaust, PMC Manifold, Unichip with standard inlet?
Not bad at all!
Should have stuck a mantzel type thing on to see it then! Thats the thing with small engines though, still only 103 ft/lb torque.
I'd love to see 34bhp from just an ECU change, I heard of the c16xe running 129bhp i think with just the ecu and tubular exhaust manifold. That aint bad!

What Adam is really saying is, all i got was the inlett manifold chamber and 4 bolts. I needed gaskets, fitting kit etc which was gonna cost about £150-£200. I couldn't afford it then, and i was stupid for selling it, but i needed the money
