not sure if people remember i was meant to go away in july to spain for 3 weeks, paid for a friend at the times flights as it was before pay day, and then we wer waiting for his passport on the morning we wer flying out but it didnt come, supirse as i found out he never even sent off for it..

he now owes me over £200, hes stopped coming out, his mom wants nothing to do with it as its him not her, doesnt answer his phone etc..

i could always knock 7 shades of shit out of him but that will cause trouble with the rozzers and i dont want that, anything else i can do to get the cash back?

Didnt his mum promise you that you'd get the money at the time all this went on? Or am i thinking of someone else.

Its not worth doing anything "physical" about it, will just land you in the shit (you know how the world is)

Have you simply been round to his house and asked him for it face to face yet?

unless you can reason with him, without going to violence you're probably best off writing the 200 off an dputting it down to experience.

Going round and simply asking him for the money means you are doing nothing wrong what so ever. Plus, having you there in front of him asking for the money while looking him square in the eyes will give you a chance of getting it back IMO.

small claims court?

edit: yeah, none of the things you're supposed to claim for are "getting fucked about by your mate"

Your mate has issues cause he didnt want to go on Holiday, maybe you were the mug to lend him the money? At the end of the day I've learnt (sadly) that you should only lend what you can afford to loose. Most people respond to violence but if that isnt an option and his parents won't shell out for his mistake then just write it off.

Type up a fake lawyers letter to scare him.

Otherwise get better mates in future.
