nah it was some stunt they pulled for a national census where they said if a certain ammount of people list their religion as jedi, it will have to be officially recognised as a religion. it didn't work though.

well christians/jews/whatever practise their religions from a book (qaran, bible etc) so why should it be any different for a jedi religion?

not sure if theres a star wars book but a film is near enough the same thing.
