looked thru some old threads on here but dont no what way is better or easier or cheaper? ive got a 1.4 sport and the engine thats going in is a 1992 redtop. seen ppl mention electric pump from a saxo or keep c20xe pump and change bracket?? need to now what to buy as engines going in soon and want all parts ready.
any help or advice???

you could use the saxo/106 pump and just get pipes made to suit but it takes up alot of room and usually means moving the battery to the boot, you could also but a plate of the likes of chris astley and fit the pas pump off the engine which is the simple option, other then that you could get a rack and motor from a corsa with eps and retro fit it

cheers pal, think ill get the bracket then, got a power steering pump on my xe when i bought it, so got the pump will i just need the bracket and thats it or will i need any other bits? cheers

if the pumps a v belt version then you need a conversion pump plate and a shorter belt

its the twin pulley pas pump on mine, prov got the chris astley pas bracket, do i just need a shorter belt now mate? thanks

you mean your bottom pulley is a twin pulley, thats cool yeah just go get a shorter belt

rite this is just gettin confusin now, all you need is a chris astley power steerin bracket as a standard xe braccket hits the tie bars and use that pump that came with the engine then u just need a belt to suit! jobs a good one!
