TBH they should now class road cars and road race cars separately, as thats not really an every day road car is it?!

Yeah, I understand they can drive it ON the road. But to me Id class that as a race car that can be driven on the road, its not your everyday sort of road car.

It would be hard to class, when would you decide that a road car is too modified?

It's a road car as in you can take it on the road on a sunny weekend, you can't drive it to work every day.
I thought the same as cosmo while watching it.
It's a road car as the technical definition, it's not really though.

Exactly.
I mean what are the other 'road cars' that it has just beaten? Id best most of them are cars you could go out to the shops in with next to no problem, or go to work in day to day, etc.

Why the Caterham comparison?
I was only either:
A) Asking genuinely
B) Trying to be humerous
C) Trying to stoke the fire....

As suggested in the comments, would a race car in road legal spec be a road car?

Im betting if I wanted i could drive an F1 car from my house to Nurburgring...does that means its a road car and therefore can set a lap in it?
