Take wiper arm and motor of completely and put a rubber grommet there. Cheaper and lighter then

On what grounds was the dirt a safety issue?

WTF does that say?
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

My mechanic taught me to go over and clean all of the brakes, suspension, brake cables etc, so it looks like you've already made an effort to check it over. Less likely to fail on something then!

I don't think they will pass a car based on the fact that it 'looks like you have already had a quick look'
It will pass if it meets the required standard.

Headlight aim is a common fail with a Corsa.

Don't forget to check all your bulbs and fluids before the test.
If your brake fluid is below minimum it will fail.

check rear springs if standard, front chassis legs for corrosion and the b pillars. if they are cracked more than 10 mm its a fail
