My Ex used to work for Rapiscan.. She told me a few years back they had an experimental trailer scanner for scanning the contents of trucks coming into the docks, they were testing it out on random trucks and one happened to be full of un-spotted asylum-seekers (they were checking the trailers first) who ended up with a nasty dose of radiation lol

No i meant what do they do 'cos the other option was to have a pat-down search. Does this mean you have to have one of them or is this only if you get beeped at that machine where u take your belts of etc.

They have been in effect for years. By bro-in-law used to drive trucks all over Europe and back and he always had them scanned like that.

They also have these uber sensitive listening devices that can hear a mouse's heartbeat!

We had the first small mobile trailer mounted system like this (used for people rather than trucks etc). Still very much used today, and i made it (not the system, but the trailer and fitting of all equipment etc)!

Had a shock once i had finished installing it and a fat man told me to press the green button and to watch the screen
