For an accounts assistant. Apparently its a competency based interview, so those awful open ended questions so they can judge your behaviour and they employ you based on that. I hate these types of interview! Wish it was based on testing to see if I knew what I was doing, such as double entry accounting etc cos that wouldnt be a problem!
I have prepared some basic answers but obviously have no idea the level of questions they are going to throw at me, and ive not had a proper interview since my Tesco interview 2 years ago (proper interview even then?!) so I am a little nervous!
So need this job though to get started on a career after uni, got a lot riding on this afternoon

When I was "coached" for a competency based interview the only thing I was told to remember was
Set the scence: Details of the problem etc
Tell the story: What did you do to sort it
What was the outcome: What happened, was the customer happy
Remember any answer doesn't have to be work based
Good luck though

Back from it, seemed to go alright. I didnt realise how close it is, I set off to get there early but Google reckoned it would take 40 minutes, it actually took closer to 25 so I was about 35 minutes early
O well, seemed to go alright, I was the only person who applied speculatively, everyone else was put forward by an agency so I guess that counts in my favour
