There are a few on here who have it right?

Who makes their 'Wireless Box II' and does it let you run a VPN? If not, can I run my Netgear DG834G instead?

I'm getting rid of Sky BB and can get O2 for a decent price with their discounted deal

It's a Thomson Speedtouch with O2 software, but I don't know about the VPN.
I ran a Sky Netgear DG834GT that had been reflashed with standard firmware without problem, although it went back to the Thomson unit when I moved out.

I know the original black box is made by Thomson, not sure about the newer ones.

Also, you can use whatever router you want with O2, I'm not using the O2 router and haven't done so for nearly a year now.

So you're not tied down to using their device? Or do you have to play about to get the username and password for the ADSL?

You have to phone up and ask for the username and password for non LLU, thats it though.

LLU doesn't require a username and password.
